Schon in den ältesten Zeiten galten die Magos als die höchsten Eingeweihten, von denen eigentlich auch das Wort Magie stammt. Die sogenannten Zauberer sind keine Eingeweihten, sondern nur Nachäffer der Mysterien, die zumeist teils die Unkenntnis, teils die Leichtgläubigkeit eines einzelnen wie eines ganzen Volkes ausnützen, um durch Lug und Trug ihre egoistischen Ziele zu erreichen. Der wahre Magier aber verachtet ein solches Vorgehen.
In Wirklichkeit ist Magie eine heilige Wissenschaft. Sie ist im wahrsten Sinne des Wortes das Wissen alles Wissens, denn sie lehrt die Universalgesetze kennen und gebrauchen.
Vielen Lesern wird bekannt sein, daß Tarot kein Kartenspiel ist, das mantischen Zwecken dient, sondern ein symbolisches Einweihungsbuch, das die größten Geheimnisse symbolisch beinhaltet. Die erste Karte dieses Buches stellt den Magier vor, der die Beherrschung der Elemente verbildlicht und den Schlüssel zum ersten Arkanum, dem Geheimnis des unaussprechlichen Namens Tetragrammaton, dem kabbalistischen JOD-HE-VAU-HE bietet. Deshalb ist hier die Pforte zur Einweihung der Magier, und wie vielsagend und allseits anwendbar diese Karte ist, wird der Leser dieses Werkes selbst erkennen. In keinem bisher erschienenen Werk ist der wahre Sinn der ersten Tarotkarte so deutlich beschrieben worden, wie ich es in meinem Buche getan habe.
Kein verkörperter Eingeweihter, mag er einen noch so hohen Rang einnehmen, kann dem Schüler für seinen Beginn mehr geben, als ihm in diesem Buche geboten wird. Findet der ehrliche Schüler und aufmerksame Leser in diesem Buche das, was er bisher anderweitig vergeblich suchte, so hat es seine Aufgabe gänzlich erfüllt.

The Supermarine Spitfire Mk IX : The Belgian and Dutch squadrons (9791096490745)

The Spitfire Mk.IX is one of the best known versions of the Spitfire. However, it should never really have existed. Its creation can be attributed to the appearance of the Focke-Wulf Fw190 over western Europe at the end of 1941. Royal Air Force pilots were quick to state the Spitfire Mk.V, the frontline RAF fighter at the time in Great Britain, was outclassed in many aspects by the new German fighter. The RAF, therefore, had to urgently find a solution to improve the Spitfire and with a new Merlin engine, the Spitfire Mk IX was born. The Mk.IX was produced for almost three years and would become one of the main fighters and fighter-bombers of the RAF in Europe in 1944 and 1945. In total, during the Second World War more than 100 fighter units were totally or partially equipped with the Spitfire, included the two Belgian fighter squadrons of the RAF, Nos. 349 and 350 and the only Dutch fighter squadron, No. 322.
